In light of the 2019 milestone where the eSports industry surpassed the billion-dollar threshold, it comes as no surprise that a considerable number of adolescents aspire to enter the professional gaming arena. Nearly two-thirds of the global population admit playing video games, with a substantial 72% representing the adolescent demographic. The findings indicate that, at present, pursuing a career in eSports does not stand as a practical substitute for traditional higher education and established career pathways. However, given the surging popularity of eSports, I anticipate a broadening spectrum of professional opportunities within the field.Accessibility Statement
