This study investigates the relationship between pet ownership and mental health, looking into unraveling the intricate impact that interactions with companion animals have on human well-being. The research explores the psychological, emotional, and social dimensions of the bond between individuals and their pets. By incorporating existing literature and conducting research, the study aims to identify how pet ownership contributes to mental health outcomes, including stress reduction, increased social support, and improved overall emotional resilience. Additionally, the investigation searches into the potential factors that influence the strength and nature of this relationship, such as pet type, owner characteristics, and other variations. The findings of this study not only advance our understanding of the therapeutic potential of human-animal bonds but also offer insights that may inform mental health interventions and policies aimed at promoting well-being through pet companionship.Accessibility Statement
