    Abstract
Reframe: Art + Race is a video blog and a consulting firm that invites artists to share stories about their racial experiences in the arts and uses those stories to learn how we can create a more equitable art world. We are not just sharing stories and leaving them out there to gather dust. We are sharing stories to make social movement that matters.   Reframe is building an online community for artists to ask questions, share experiences, and for artists of color to be supported by their artistic family. Reframe is a place to learn and a new space for artists to celebrate their accomplishments and how they have risen above systemic inequality with the support of their communities. Reframe is dedicated to focusing on the subject of race and discrimination in the arts. There are spaces where the subject is discussed and brought up in pieces of art, but we are making a deliberate choice to focus on this one area with the vision that it will bring together arts communities, across disciplines, to create a more equitable art world. At Reframe we understand that we all must confront racism in our day to day lives in order to change the “white is right” status quo. We must accept that it is alive and well and can only be undone when it is accepted as a living, breathing reality in our daily lives and a living, breathing reality in our arts. In a nutshell, Reframe is a community. It is a vlog, a blog, and a space for creatives to address the racial and social dynamics in spaces they create, and most importantly, it is a place to listen, learn, and take collective action towards creating a more equitable arts world.
