In Colleges today it is eminent that cell-phones and other digital devices are part of the educational system. It has a lot of great traits, such as an easier way to connect with peers and professors, but there are numerous aspects that lead to negative effects that could have long-lasting damages. Students are prone to establish continuous partial attention and are very likely to isolate themselves, even though they are digitally connected to social media and other communities online. The harmful consequences of “screen addiction” are uncontrolled, unless we act and find face-to-face interactions that will lead to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. The choices are unlimited from building an awareness to how we use our devices to being more creative in real-time and real life, totaling in having fun with friends. It has become important in an academic environment, where the future is being paved.
