The focus of my study is to thoroughly examine the infamous School-to Prison Pipeline. This is a disturbing national trend which sees youth being funneled out of public schools and into the juvenile and criminal justice systems. Many of these kids have certain learning disabilities or histories of extreme poverty, abuse, or neglect, and would strongly benefit from additional education and counseling/rehabilitative services.
