| dc.description.abstract | Life Beyond Textiles, is a charity that raises funds with the help of its sponsors and followers to help kids in San Juan, La Laguna in Guatemala. The funds raised will provide backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other educational supplies for 35 elementary and high school students from the village. If we are able to exceed our goal, we will be able to extend our help to other students. We could also help by buying the students shoes since many of them do not have the right shoes for Physical Education and to walk to school everyday. There were three events planned to raise funds, a Zumba class, a Vendor's table at the Greenwich High School, and the main event which was a Silent Auction on Wednesday November 28th at the YWCA in Greenwich, CT. | |
