Makeshift Curtain is a book of black and white photographs I made of family and loved ones. In this project I questioned how a narrative develops through photographs when there are few words to support it. What relationship might a viewer have to these images without knowledge of my personal associations to them? Makeshift Curtain is a story in flux—opening up, folding in, weaving together notions of family, intimacy, bodies, memories and art.
