My work is a visual diary, a visual depiction of the words written for myself. A way to immortalize the people who inhabit my life and the spaces lived in. To have a picture is like having a piece of one’s soul. I document the bonds shared between others, between myself and others, and between people and places, because of a need to remember these moments. As I found myself surrounded by new friends, in a new environment, I began to make new discoveries. These began to translate into a new practice. This thesis project focuses on using photography as a practice to explore the relationship between spirituality, solidarity, and music through open awareness and mindfulness.Collections
