Abstract
My paintings explore intimacy, issues of memory, and the comforts and discomforts that I associate with them.  Using the familiar and intimate spaces of my family home, I represent my family and I while creating a sense of comfort in privacy and memories.  Through different imagery and surface disruptions, I then represent the disturbing and uncomfortable sentiment that results in memory being an unstable and unreliable process.
