This paper is an investigation into Freemasonry and how the Fraternity gained its reputation. The investigation delves into the scandals that the Fraternity underwent and how that impacted the image of the Fraternity. What was once proclaimed as a prestigious and positive organization became known as a nefarious society even to today. As time went on, the society was continuously associated with devil worship and later was accused of murder. All of these claims against the fraternity tarnished the fraternity’s reputation and has made it to be somewhat of a taboo secret society. This paper analyzes these claims brought against the fraternity in order to investigate and either prove or disprove the claims to portray the society in a true light.Accessibility Statement
