My artwork is presented with broad mediums, materials, and ideas. It begins with the process of experimentation with paint or my reaction to unconventional materials. I get inspired and curious during material experimentation that evolves the work into a process-based production for creating artwork. Multimedia objects suit the ideas of my work which makes every piece looks different from each other. Some materials that I have used are unconventional like found fabric, assemblage, tea, spices, mundane objects, flower pots, etc. While in my conventional artwork you see my paintings, sculptures, and prints. These materials are sometimes combined with embroidery techniques, sewing, paper- maché, collage, mix media, and video. The artwork stems from themes of indigenous belief, Ecuadorian tradition, symbolism, narrative, feminism, and conceptualism. Materials become essential for the context of the idea I wish to express.Accessibility Statement
