The History of Music has for a long time been of great interest to me personally. Coincidentally so has the History of counter cultures. Through this paper I have researched an over arching history of the punk movement. Specific histories of important bands as well as the cultures that surrounded them. American Punk, English Punk, German and other countries all had special parts to play within this subculture. Each country had their own aesthetics and ideologies that varied from region to region. While punk itself was quite a large movement there were smaller more specific groups with the already large subculture each with their own specific philosophies and aesthetics. Through this paper I hope to share my interest involving what could possibly be the most well known counter cultureAccessibility Statement
