The Modern General Store

Abstract

My work is about the disciplines of graphic design and traditional printmaking I explore the historical, shared characteristics of mechanical reproduction, advertising, typography, and imagery. Playing with Design I am skewing the language people already know by bringing it into the world of printmaking. By elevating normal everyday items, such as a milk carton. Through craft, I am exploring ways to make the grocery store a museum and the museum a grocery store.
