Lesley lives within the treasures and traps of Long Island...and herself. She can’t tell the difference between friendly and fake and associates her problems with others around her, except her best friend, Mable. When perfect and popular frenemy, Courntey, invites the two to her Sweet 16, Mable shows signs of admiring Courntey, prompting Lesley to host a Sweet 16 to prove to Mable, and mostly herself, that she could be as perfect as Courtney seems. As the party planning commences, Lesley finds it difficult to cherish most relationships within her life as she struggles to accept that she is valued and loved.
