This thesis explores the misrepresentation of plus size bodies in social media. Social media plays a large role in our lives but not everyone is given the same freedom to express themselves online. Size based censorship contributes to the lack of inclusivity of the plus size and fat communities. Representation is extremely important for the mental health and overall well being of a larger body. This paper speaks to using fat art as a catalyst for social change of the idealized body.Collections
