We Call This House Home is based on the 1963 Birmingham Bombing that took the life of four young girls. The bombing changed the course of history and placed Birmingham into the limelight. This story however imagines the lives of the girls the summer of 63, as they explore friendship, family, and identity, all while dealing with the death of their classmate and preparing for their church's annual summer play. Each girl faces a different struggle as they learn to survive in such a hateful time and space.Accessibility Statement
