This paper delves into the place that live concert events have in society, with a focus on the social connections that result from a shared live concert experience. The paper discusses the ways in which digital technology have changed the social aspect of live concerts experience, by exploring online ticker purchasing, virtual reality and immersive technology, as well as social media. Through secondary research, as well as primary research in the form of surveys and in-depth qualitative interviewing, this paper aims to demonstrate that live music events are integral in society as they bring people closer.Accessibility Statement
