Cloud Color

Abstract

Cloud Color, is a board game and a written treatment that I created as a Senior Project. The board game is made up of trivial questions that revolve around color. Each trivial card connects to topics about color whether it is historical, food and drink related, worldwide knowledge of color or common sense ideas about color. I wanted the motive for designing this game to just be a way for you and your family to enjoy and fun with, but also for anyone of any age group to enjoy and play too. Each player/s will have 11 individual color cards that will allow them to answer the question correctly, thus allowing you to win. The written treatment focuses heavily on the importance of the history of board games and color in Western society. By taking the history of board games and understanding why games were even created in the first place, I explore the creation of board games and how games help relate and develop to our human behavior, and cognitive mind from our early childhood development to elder age. The treatment also explores the historical creation of color during pre-historic times to how we identify and relate color to social classes in Western cultures. It is clear that there is a relationship between color and board games and how they play a vital role in our lives.
