For the last five years, my main focus and attraction to photography has been fueled by exploring and documenting places that the public isn't allowed to see or experience. When I first started doing this it was certainly just for the photographs, but I soon realized that the experience itself was just as important to me. For my project I made a documentary about urban exploring. Its mainly about what it is that we're doing, who is doing it, and why? A main goal was to have this unexplainable feeling somehow translated to the viewers so they might even begin to understand why we love this so much. It truly is the type of thing where you can't completely understand or respect it unless you've experienced it yourself. As well as the documentary, I've also prepared ten 16x20 printed photographs. As a photography major, I think its still important to show some of my printed work.Collections
