An article that looks into and pushes to open up a space of conversation on the topic of mental health in Caribbean immigrant households. Specifically focusing on the stigma Caribbean islanders have on mental health, and have bought to the U.S. The article looks into points-of-view from first- and second-generation Caribbean immigrants and their view on the stigma and how they push against it with hopes to raise awareness. With the help of therapy and peers, they hope for the normalization of mental health and treatment.Collections
