Abstract
A history senior project looking into the Roman cult of Cybele. Aspects to be analyzed in this project include the ancient authors who documented their interactions with the cult, the origins of the cult of Cybele and its' induction into Roman religion, the Anatolian background of the cult, the height of popularity experienced by the cult in the 1st and 2nd centuries CE, and artifacts representing cult worship of Cybele.
