dc.description.abstract | The significance of this study is to examine the role of online communities and the way social media elevates the identities of individuals in different perspectives through Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram, as well as outside sources which are derived from google. This research would be sourced through secondary data analysis and focus groups. Additionally, the purpose of this research is to find both positive and negative signals and pieces of information from social media that can trigger changes to an individual sense of reasoning. This can create confusion for those who derive to muster a bulk of knowledge from social media. The information displayed out there feeds a person's mind, and vulnerable individuals are forced to believe whatever is written and because many different pieces of information are out there, we are forced to have different opinions on certain situations that happen around us, our community, and in the world at large. | |
