There is a need for representation in children's literature. Especially in regards to what different family dynamics can look like. In the standard family dynamic, there is often a mom and dad with their children. Yet that is only one type of family. There are children/people who have two moms or two dads. Some have no parents but were raised by another legal guardian. Some families are often not even blood related but come together by choice. It is crucial to introduce different views and opinions such as family dynamics to kids while they are young. It is important to allow them access to such literature around the time of birth and the age of 6 where they are thermos impressionable. it offer insurance that there will be a strong future of kids who are confident with who they are.
