An analysis on how screenwriters Karen McCullah ad Kirsten Smith adapted Shakespeare's plays "The Taming of the Shrew" and "She's the Man" into modern films that resonated with teen audiences. I mostly explore the feminist theory found in the films as well as the history behind movements such as the different waves of feminism. I also looked into the poor audience reception at the time of the films' release and the current more positive opinions about the films today.Accessibility Statement
