Increased legal protections in the workplace, decriminalization of homosexuality and sodomy, and instituting same-sex marriage nationwide have changed the landscape for LGBT activi sm. Yet, reports of trans people being murdered increased almost every year on record for the last six years, and 2022 is on track to become the worst year in recent history regarding enacting Anti-LGBTQ measures into law. In this paper, I will dictate the relationship between queer counter-media and creative political action. I hope this combination of scholastic research and lived experience will uncover new ways of moving forward.Accessibility Statement
