The Super Bowl is the biggest sports event in the country. With the Super Bowl being hosted by different cities every year, the impact of such an event must have a great effect on hosting cities and its economy. The National Football league promotes positive return to the economy, but research has shown that this is not true. This paper will explore how the Super Bowl brings hosting cities revenue when hosting the big event and whether or not it really is worth the investment. Looking at the 11 different sources I explored, one can find that most of them support that cities will have to put in more work to make a positive impact on their economy. The Findings conclude that the Super Bowl alone does not bring in enough revenue for cities to make a positive return. The city will have to look to other ways of income that can correlate with the event to make such returns. WIth the winning bid for hosting the Super Bowl already upward of 40 million, cities have to understand in full the investment they are making. This paper helps hosting cities understand the cost of housing the event, as well as gives an insight of what the benefits could be.Accessibility Statement
