We've all gone through life experiences in unexpected ways, for various reasons. When the reasons come down to the choices we make, those experiences can either go smoother than we initially hoped, or can become longer journeys with some detours along the way. Also a common part of the human experience, if you're fortunate enough, are moments of redemption; sometimes in life, you just need to redeem yourself, and that's what I'm doing here. I don't know why it took so long, and I didn't come into this knowing exactly what it will all mean in the grand scheme of things, but I'm doing it now, and that's all that matters. As I'm writing this, the amount of things going on in the world makes me feel like everything's going to collapse at any moment, yet I'm pushing through. This is my second attempt at a senior project, and I'm hoping it's the charm. My experiences as a SUNY Purchase undergrad were interesting, to say the least — full of highs and lows. Not sure that I would relive those times if given the chance to, but I can say that my undergrad experience played a huge role in me becoming who I am today. In this senior project, I'll be recounting my experiences as an Art History undergrad, what resonated with me and what my thoughts are now. In doing so, I'll be focusing on a few movements in Art History that have meant something to me, and why I think it impacted me so much. I'll also be reflecting on some of the decisions I made throughout my undergrad experience, and what my mode of thinking was back then. At the end of this, I hope to gain some more perspective and understanding for myself, and I hope the reader will appreciate and understand my experiences, good or bad.Accessibility Statement
