Youth sports have been proven to promote positive outcomes in children's future in many different aspects, but with this, it has also been shown that they can have sometimes also have negative impacts. In my project, I will be writing a literature review by using empirical articles to dive into the topic of youth sports and how it affects children both positively and negatively in the future. The three topics I will be focusing on are the impacts that (1) coaches and parents, (2) teammates, and (3) psychological differences in kids themselves, have on the outcomes of a child's life. This project is important because it can help familiarize people to the positives and negatives that come with participating in youth sports and how it can affect their development in the future.Accessibility Statement
