My work is based on memory and experience. I'm telling a story of childhood; good and bad, through many mediums. I paint and draw figures interpreted through a fantastical lens where they take the form of monsters. The mediums I use the most are acrylic, watercolor paints and digital methods. I have appreciation for all of these different approaches and what makes them unique. The meaning behind my work is ultimately about trauma, and the effect that lingers on in us. No one is innocent, we are all monsters in some way.
