My work is about the interplay of fantasy and reality, which I accomplish through images of modern day mythological creatures in real-world settings. Artistic depictions of myths and legends is a long practiced tradition along with storytelling, and I explore those same ideas by creating prints of strange creatures and cryptids. I work with the style of narrative drawings found in storybooks to make retellings of first-hand encounters and prevailing legends with an injection of droll humor often found in the whimsy of fantastical stories.
