The music industry has many facets in which to analyze the experiences of women. The experiences of these women are based on their experience with men and the surrounding music industry. One aspect of experience is through creativity. When a female producer enters a studio, an intimate place where specific negotiations are made and intentions are implemented to create a piece of work, there are certain processes and thoughts women go through. The purpose of art is to liberate, and within the creative process of these women, suppressing one's creative process may influence the outcome of their art. The project will aim to answer the following questions; How much of what female-producers create fits into the picture of what men expect of a woman music producer? Since the purpose of art is to liberate, to what extent do women suppress their own intentions due to their interactions with men?Collections
