This project serves as a commentary on Formula One pit stops, but more deeply as a commentary on the ideal community and societies emphasis of manual labor. With prints that look hyperrealistic to a point where they seems almost photographic, yet illustrative in a way that reveals the artist's hand which played an important role, I use etching and linoleum as a way to also create a sense of anonymity. By carving away certain elements such as faces and pushing the focus toward things such as clothing and the moment of bodies the sense of anonymity is further heightened. Also explored is the idea of mark making and how things such as tire marks and footprints hold an archive of the passing of time.Collections
