dc.description.abstractWhy do we fear the dark? Is it due to the ambiguity of it, the uncertainty of what it might contain or what might happen if we were to enter? The gray areas of our perception lend themselves to be the most successful in invoking a sense of fear. However, looking across the art I have cultivated shows certainties between them in areas such as genre, color, and the relationships between ourselves and with our surroundings.
