The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic brought on many challenges for people and businesses, including colleges and their students. Students who were hoping to obtain the usual "college experience" were suddenly introduced to College's virtual era for both classes and events. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and New York State Officials, quarantine was mandatory and large gatherings were forbidden, making the college experience many students yearned for impossible, however many colleges would soon find ways around that. The research conducted demonstrates the various ways in which colleges and universities utilize their resources to maintain student engagement by planning virtual large-scale events throughout the pandemic. This paper focuses on Purchase College's initiative to have their biggest event brought virtually to students, incorporating the challenges faced before, during, and after completion of the event.Accessibility Statement
