dc.description.abstract | My whole thesis describes my artistic practice blending into my development as a character. Growing up I always felt there was this sense of otherness in me which made me feel isolated from most people around me. Being misunderstood as a person I wanted to share what this sense of alienation was like in my experiences. By combining poetry next to the explanations of my process readers will be welcome into an otherworldly imaginative way of thinking that includes delving into my personal traumas as a child intermingled with memories of cartoons, historical art subjectivity, and uncanny forms of pop culture being transformed into this surreal narrative of exploring creative aspects of my mind and my emotional struggles being an outsider of the human experience. | |
