    Abstract
What makes a photograph so memorable? Why do we hold on to such objects as sentimental value? REMEMBERING SUMMER is an exploration and realization to uncover these questions. To dig deeper past the surface--what brings together a photograph that stays with someone for their whole life. By looking at the works of well known photographers like Bruce Weber and Joey Meyerowitz, it was easy to spot a trend amongst the images. Not only that, but looking into the words and thoughts of Henri Cartier-Bresson also helped with the findings. Allowing the world to come to you rather than to seek the world will bring forward what is sought. Creating photographs that stay with individuals forever is a process that requires one to be present within the moment, and to actively participate within what is occurring. Not only observation is enough. Images that create long lasting relationships conclude with eventful nature such as enjoying a party, or going out on the lake. But that isn't always necessary. Slowing down and being in the "now" will bring more good to anyone than to force what you seek.
