The Wearing of Many Hats (and Capes, and Sequined Suits): Carving Out a Space for Myself as a Transgender Performer through the Devising, Production, and Performance of Cheat Day

Abstract

This senior project consisted of writing, choreographing, costume designing, and performing a festival piece titled "Cheat Day". The project combined traditional theatrical realism with modern drag and lip-sync performance, and explored themes of transformation, duality, and transgender issues.
