This document follows the 2021 Senior Project production of Springtime by María Irene Fornés as the dramaturg records prospective goals, creative processes, and overall outcomes of the show. Fear and horror are acknowledged as main themes throughout Springtime. Despite the show traditionally being a romance, this production was particularly inspired by the concept of ghost stories and eerie elements. The research follows this theme of fear, focusing on the parallels of germaphobic social panic between the 1950s, 1980s, and today.
