In the 1930s and 1940s, a small number of resistance groups emerged in Germany to combat the Nazi Regime. Despite the extreme dangers of such opposition and daily risks of operation, resistance groups in Germany worked in secret to dismantle the Nazi Regime. This senior project examines the efforts of three German resistance groups, Edelweiss Pirates, White Rose, and Red Orchestra, to overthrow the Nazi regime. While few resistance groups survived their fight against the Third Reich, their efforts speak volumes regarding internal resistance to Nazi tyranny.
