Four years of college to understand the material, discussions, artists, and themes that best suit me. Understanding oil paint and where I stood/lack to develop the techniques and practices that made me into the artist I am today. This is the senior thesis of Roy Onofre for a BFA at SUNY Purchase. I go into depth of my processes to create a painting and why certain themes interest me. I talk about how I want the viewer to feel while looking at my ambiguous work with a hint of storytelling. Furthermore, I look back at Edward Hopper and Francisco Goya for advice and discuss why I feel it is important to view your peer's work. I end with hopefully eyes and reinforce what it is to be an artist and the longevity of creating.Accessibility Statement
