This senior project in Theatre & Performance involved performing the roles Golf Club, Ice Cream, and Lenny in José Rivera's Marisol, with additional voice acting and stage combat instruction. The performance was done using Chekhovian techniques to adapt absurdist characters into grounded examples of how any man is capable of toxic brutality. The production was bolstered by research into the marginalization of disenfranchised citizens of the Bronx, and the white-male dominance over modern American commercial theatre.Accessibility Statement
