The objects I own tell a lot about me. For my thesis I was interested in the subject of self portraiture through consumer items. Through my project I explore themes of repetition, consumption, and collections. We're all busy consuming products of need and desire – all the while growing indifferent or blind to our repetitive patterns of consumption. My goal is to create art that satirizes the unfortunate fact that our consumer life is harming the planet we live on. I hope that one day everyone will start taking action to lower our consumption and production rate, and strive towards a more sustainable future.
