This essay is a story behind my series of works called "Feast". This series of works explores the theme of survival — Women surviving in a society that allows endless exploitation of the female body and soul. By utilizing the physical female body form and altering its physicality, my works reveal deeply painful human conditions in domestic and societal space. Starting on paper, I draw and pour pour imagination by pressing the points of 6B and 9B pencil on paper with strength and creates lines, shapes, forms and shadows that are pieced together to create a distinct world. I then sculpt figures using clay, which allows me to pull the 2D characters into real-life spaces, sitting alongside the viewer, confronting them with their exploited and vulnerable appearance. My practice is driven by empathy for marginalized groups of people, and a strong curiosity for how different materials, with their distinct characteristics,Collections
