dc.description.abstractThis is a guided discovery activity to help students learn about the differences between scholarly and popular publications. Students are asked to look at an example of each type of resource and make observations. This activity is done individually or in small groups or pairs with a whole class discussion about the applications of each resource at the end of the activity. The activity requires 45-60 minutes of class time.
