My grandma Eleanor once told me she thought our female line had been cursed by a witch. It stands to reason that I must also be cursed in this case. These are some of the opening lines in my cornerstone video for my thesis, "The End of an Era." The concept of this curse and the adjacent dynamics of religion, womanhood, and oppressed versus oppressor within my family are the guiding forces behind the project. It's about the lost women, who exist in every space, in this case within Protestant and Episcopal led Christianity, and how that space is designed to turn women against themselves both overtly and subtly.
