dc.description.abstract | (Einstein) Insanity is about the experience of being a trans male, with unsupportive parents and the relationship to financial power. The photos in this project depict the experience and emotions of trying to live in a body that isn't mine. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Wanting my parents to be onboard and supportive of the transition has by this definition made me insane. The intensions behind Einstein Insanity is to spread awareness of the complexity of suffering within the trans community, as well as for parents with trans kids to get a better understanding of how profound this pain is. | |
