I share my experiences and artistic transformation during my time at SUNY Purchase. Initially, my artworks involved personal symbolic figures that lacked any sense of space or background. However, I later moved towards portraying isolation and detachment from others, illustrating how this affects my current relationships and self-perception. Using personal photographs as references and abstract techniques, I aimed to recreate memories that invite viewers into the scene. Through my artworks, I delve deeper into the meaning behind the masks of my figures, which embody everything they understand and express, and became the faces I presented to others. My process of painting my memories is deeply intertwined with the way my dreams function. By examining the works of other artists, I found myself enthralled and inspired to create artworks, inviting viewers to relive my personal childhood obsessions and rediscover the magic.Accessibility Statement
