When looking at the future of nature conservation, and the natural world as a whole, it can be easy to look at how grim it is. Every day, you can read about more loss of land, due to deforestation or the ever shifting climate. Looking at the recent pushes for more fabricated nature, a much more sterilized look at the outdoors. Despite what science tells us, that our wellbeing and health increase when being around natural land, it seems to keep going away. This piece is the next step. Nature locked behind a screen, made even smaller by nature crafted in a software. You see a greenhouse filled with non-living “life”. Sounds of the plants scraping in the wind play through the flowers and the scent of fake botanical life hits you in the face. You’re looking at The “Natural” World, and there’s nothing else you can really do.
