    Abstract
Human trafficking is a human rights violation, which destroys the health of its victims and society on each level. The crime is very lucrative and well organized by the offenders. To stop human trafficking, this paper is oriented to find the answers to three questions which are: What is the impact of human trafficking on human life and society? How does human trafficking violate human rights? How can we prevent human trafficking? Using the secondary data from 2012 to 2023, the research presents the abuse, violence and exploitation of men, women and children around the world and its impact on the health of trafficked people and society. Also, through the research, it can be noticed that the number of human trafficking victims increases considerably with time, even if “modern slavery” is recognized as illegal by the international community. It is conclusive that to stop the crime and punish offenders, the government, private sector and scholars must put more effort into working together to install more effective programs based on new research. Additionally, to prevent crime from happening, the population must be educated about human trafficking and traffickers must be severely punished. It is very important to stop human trafficking as every victim's life is priceless and society has the responsibility to protect everyone from the crime.
