As an international student, I find that the representation of minorities in America to be vital to the arts for creating more respect and equality between communities. I strongly believe art can unify people, and, by doing so, it can also instigate differences in people’s mindset, creating mutual acceptance, minimizing prejudice and raising awareness. POC representation in the media inspires more people to feel included, represented and welcomed in this country. In tracing this evolution in Qui Nguyen’s work, I see this happening in an exciting way.Accessibility Statement
